2009 95% Copper Lincoln Cents
If you didn't know, the mint is making a special cent set for 2009 with all four of the new Lincoln cents with the original 1909 Lincoln cent composition of 95% copper and 5% tin & zinc. Interesting that they're making copper cents again, even if it is simply commemorative.

Re: 2009 95% Copper Lincoln Cents
Thanks for the info. I'm out of the "loupe" when it comes to numismatics.
Funny how many modern commemoratives are made of the metals (copper, silver, gold) that circulating coins used to be made of. |

Glad to see the mint still has enough copper on hand to at least do a limited release of 95% copper pennies! |

Its a good sign for copper when a coin is special because it has copper in it. :s9:
